I decided to try wellbutrin again, this time for my increased anxiety levels, obsessive thinking, not being able to sleep, having times where I isolate myself to pull it together at home and at work. I am happy and whistling and singing again. Recently, I ran out of my meds and accidently went off it cold turkey. Unfortunately after 9 months I developed a hand tremor and had to stop taking it. I have had a previous episode of major depression that responded pretty well to Wellbutrin, but it took several months (weeks to notice improvement, months to get 'normal'). Cymbalta made me feel more depressed and made it extremely if not impossible to orgasm, but I find it easier to with Wellbutrin, and the sensations are more intense. Experiencing panic attacks several times a day will surely lower your quality of life.

I found the negative side effects began on day 2 opposed to Celexa, which took a few weeks to kick in. Also, aids in quitting smoking (identical to Zyban). I didn't notice any difference in how I felt. Given the wide variability among individuals and their capacity to metabolize and eliminate drugs this disproportionate increase in seizure incidence with dose incrementation calls for caution in dosing. I took Wellbutrin for a couple of years and it helped my depression so much.
